'Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the house Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse The stockings were hung by the chimney with care In hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be there But suddenly, there arose such a clatter I sprang from my bed to see what was the matter To my surprise, I saw Santa stuck in the chimney With his big belly wedged, he couldn't move freely I pulled and I tugged, but he wouldn't budge Until finally, he let out a loud "Fudge!" With a jolly laugh, he popped out with a thud And exclaimed, "Looks like I need to lay off the pud!" We shared a good laugh, and he went on his way Leaving behind a trail of cookies and hay And as I settled back into my bed I couldn't help but chuckle at the sight I just had.
